The WWF Baltic Sea Farmer of the Year Award is an annual competition intended to inspire farmers from around the Baltic to take an active part in combating eutrophication and move towards a more Baltic-friendly farming providing excellent examples that others can learn from. The Award was created in 2009 by WWF in partnership with farmers’ organisations from around the Baltic Sea with the intention to stimulate cooperation in order to further the application and promotion, of good environmental practice in the agricultural sector. This film clip gives a flavour of some of the past winners of the Award and the measures that they are applying on their farm to help improve the health of the Baltic Sea.
