WWFs mission is to stop the degradation of the earth’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. To reach that the young generation must get an education that enable them to work with authentic issues in collaboration with their nearby community . Education for Sustainable Development is a holistic approach which includes the three pillars of sustainability: environmental, social, and economic aspects and help people to increase their action competence.
The whole school approach for education for sustainable development, ESD, means that sustainability is guiding all activities and operations of the school, from the schoolyard, the classroom and the teaching to the school’s values and management.
