This partnership project gave us more knowledge on the potential for RE in Vietnam related to the H&M supply chain and providing some education and guidance to supplier factories in sourcing solar PV.

We wanted to deepen our understanding around the bankability of rooftop solar application of garment companies in Vietnam. We also wanted to increase our knowledge on RE investments and installations with the aim to accelerate RE uptake in the sector.

What did we do?

● We performed a survey on the bankability of H&M suppliers in Vietnam for rooftop solar application in cooperation with GIZ to identify factories which are technically and economically suitable for RE installation & investment

● We developed a handbook with guidelines on rooftop solar grid-connection procedures applied to stimulate private sector investment in RE

● We introduced a report & handbook to H&M, suppliers & relevant stakeholders
