Chooses the changes you want to start making or the ones you are making already today. Start by repsonding to three simple questions below, and we will suggest the changes which could suit you.

50 changes

RAISE YOUR VOICE FOR THE PLANET!

People all over the world want to make their voices heard and demand that world leaders act now to take action against climate change and the loss of animals and nature. You should sign up too! Then share on your social media and encourage others to sign up as well.

LEAVE THE MAILBOX EMPTY

Less paper through your mailbox means less forest used. Put up a "no advertising sign" on the door and start using e-services - get bills, insurance notices, etc. straight into your mobile app.

MOVE SUSTAINABLY

Try to walk, cycle or use public transport as much as possible. Do you need a car? Preferably buy an electric car or other environmental car. Maybe there is a car pool nearby which you can join?

RENT THE RIGHT CAR

Require an environmentally classified car when you rent a car or order a taxi. In this way, both the rental car and taxi companies must adapt. At the same time, you reduce your climate footprint.

BREAK UP WITH THE CHICKEN

Chicken is the type of meat which is increasing most in Sweden and chickens eat most imported soy of all animals. If you eat meat, then choose Swedish animals that have grazed, such as beef or lamb. The best is meat which is certified with Svensk Sigill or KRAV.

BUILD OR BUY AN INSECT HOTEL!

There are almost 300 different kinds of bees and bumblebees in Sweden. 46 of them are threatened and risk disappearing from the country. One reason is the lack of good housing - help the insects with an insect hotel!

GET A CHECK ON YOUR VEGO!

Eating more vego is good, but some vego can be even better! Vegoguiden is a guide for consumers and cooks who want to make better choices. What about almonds and avocados, for example?

LET THE LAWN GROW!

Leave about 10 square meters of your lawn uncut over the summer so that the flowering plants can bloom. It's great for biodiversity in your garden!

DON'T SHOP TILL YOU DROP!

We must start consuming sustainably. Shop more second-hand and at flea markets if you need new clothes, furniture or other items.

REVIEW YOUR SAVINGS AND YOUR PENSION

Ask your bank / fund manager to report its full impact on nature, both positive and negative. Don't like what you hear? Consider switching.

CLEAN OUTDOORS

Things that litter on sidewalks, parks, beaches or lakes have a serious impact on both nature and wildlife. Therefore, start as a routine from now on to always pick up at least one item a day and put in a trash can.

DESELECT WHAT IS FLOWN HERE

Choosing more vego is good, but you should avoid some vegetarian food - such as what has been flown here.

BECOME A LUNCH VEGETARIAN

Maybe let the lunches be vego? Try eat more colorful from the plant kingdom. Good for the climate and you!

SKIP THE CAR FOR SHORT DISTANCES

Bike, walk or use public transport instead of the car for distances shorter than five kilometers. Then you will reduce your climate impact.

CHOOSE THE TRAIN!

Take the train instead of the plane, and global greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced.

GET OR BUILD A NEST

Many birds, animals and insects that live in hollow trees have problems finding burrows as we humans clean away too many hollow trees in nature. If you have a property, put up a nest box or several in your garden if you have the opportunity!

COMPOST MORE!

A compost for your food waste or garden waste helps nature to take advantage of nutrients in the waste. Very good for biodiversity! If you do not have access to a garden compost, sign an agreement with your municipality about collection of your food waste and it will also benefit the production of biogas.

MAKE A FOOD LOSS PROMISE, SAVE LOTS OF MONEY!

Promise yourself and the planet not to throw away any food or drink at all for a week. Or a month. Or never. 95 kilos of food are thrown away per person and year in Sweden, while food accounts for about 25% of the households' climate impact.

JUST PEE, POOP AND TOILET PAPER IN THE TOILET

Think of it this way: only toilet paper belongs in the toilet. The rest belongs in the trash or should be sorted out. Garbage, chemicals and medicines do not benefit anyone from ending up in the wastewater.

CHANGE ELECTRICITY DEAL

87% of the world's energy comes from fossil fuels. The development of renewables is ongoing but needs to speed up. Therefore, choose an electricity contract with renewable energy sources today!

REPLACE THE PLATE MODEL WITH THE PLANET MODEL!

Cook within the limits of the planet. Challenge yourself and try at least one new recipe a week from our sustainable recipe bank.

REPAIR BEFORE YOU BUY NEW

Technical gadgets are often thrown away unnecessarily. Therefore, start by handing in your equipment for repair. You can also now get a RUT deduction for that.

START BORROWING, STOP BUYING!

Borrow from friends or use rental services when you need tools, trailers, skis and more. Then you reduce the so-called gadget waste, i e gadgets which are bought but not used.

BREAK UP WITH THE AVOCADO

When growing avocados, a lot of water may be used, which can have a negative effect on the water resources in the area. So try to replace the avocado where you can. Pea guaca will be an excellent alternative to Friday tacos' guacamole.

BECOME A SPONSOR!

What does your heart beat the most for? Choose a sponsorship you want to support.

ONLY CHOOSE GOOD CHOCOLATE!

Chocolate can be a real environmental villain. Just buy chocolate that is certified - KRAV, EU organic, Fairtrade or Rainforest Alliance.

EAT LESS BUT BETTER MEAT!

Next time you are in the store to buy meat, check out the WWF Meat Guide to make the most sustainable choice. It is available both as an app and on the web.

GIVE AWAY OF ENVIRONMENTALLY LEAN GIFTS

Give away experiences instead of gadgets, to reduce overconsumption and the risk of gadgets just collecting dust.

SECOND HAND FIRST!

Buy nothing new in 2021 and you will help reduce overconsumption. Become circular instead. Benefit from the circular economy by shopping second-hand or using rental services.

GET SOLAR PANELS

If you have the opportunity, install solar panels on your roof. Then you will reduce your climate footprint at the same time as your electricity bill decreases.

NO FLYING 2022!

Opt out of aviation in 2022 and you will make an important contribution to reducing global emissions. Now, there are also night trains to the continent that help us travel in new ways.

THE TAKE-AWAY LID!

Ignore lids, straws and other plastic when you have a take-away coffee, soft drink or lunch, to reduce the impact on the environment.

PLANT FOR BUMBLEBEES AND BEES!

About 1/3 of the food we eat has been pollinated by bumblebees and bees. Plant pollen and nectar rich plants such as pearl hyacinth, crocus, lungwort, daisy or a spice plant and the pollinators will be happy.

SKIP THE TUMBLE DRYER

The tumble dryer consumes too much energy and the drying cabinet is even worse. Line dry your laundry as often as you can to help both clothes and the planet feel better.

CHOOSE ORGANIC!

Organic may cost a little more, but is a good investment that benefits you, the animals and nature.

SAY NO TO UNNECESSARY FREIGHTS

Free returns are never free. Every transport affects our planet. Be careful about the size when shopping online, so that you do not have to return packages unnecessarily. Rather buy more things at the same time for group delivery, than repeated orders.

ONLY FSC CERTIFIED!

Buy FSC certified wooden furniture and paper products. FSC takes environmental values into account and ensures that biological diversity, ecologically valuable environments and cultural monuments are protected.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT FISH!

Choose green in the WWF Fish Guide the next time you buy fish to avoid depletion and help fish stocks to survive.

SKIP EXPRESS DELIVERY!

Skip express deliveries when you shop online Then companies can co-ship and transport more efficiently. So give some extra thought when ordering to reduce emissions. Is your delivery really that urgent?

ONLY BUY THE FOOD YOU INTEND TO EAT

Did you know that a third of all food is thrown away? Start by planning your grocery shopping and only shop only what you need and what you will eat.

BE PICKY ABOUT THE MEAT!

If you want to eat beef, think less but better and choose meat from animals that have grazed on meadows and pastures. Look for KRAV and Svenskt Sigill natural pasture meat when you shop. Then you create conditions for increased biodiversity.

REPLACE RICE FOR POTATOES

Organic potatoes have a 30 times lower climate impact than rice. In addition, you contribute to biodiversity.

DOUBLE YOUR VEGGIE!

Vegetarian food is good for you, the environment and the climate, so eat twice as much vegetarian - if you are not already a vegetarian of course.

FIKA WITH THE RIGHT COFFEE

The next time you buy coffee, look for KRAV, Rainforest Alliance or Fairtrade labelled coffee and you will reduce the impact on our only planet.

REUSE YOUR PLASTIC

It is most important to reduce the purchase of new plastic products, especially disposable items to reduce new production of plastic - especially those that cannot be recycled. If you already have plastic items, it is best to reuse them as far as possible. The ice cream box becomes a lunch box and the plastic bag hangs with you to the store time and time again.

PUT A LID ON THE SAUCEPAN

Put the lid on the saucepan when you boil water, and you will use 75% less energy. You can also save energy by not boiling more than you need.

RECYCLE ALL YOUR BATTERIES, ALSO THE HIDDEN ONES!

Remember to also recycle the batteries found in toys and technology gadgets! Heavy metals such as lead, mercury and cadmium from batteries cause serious damage to the environment.

SORT MORE AT SOURCE

Sweden is a country that sorts a lot of fractions, but we can do even better. Sort even more and feel free to coach your school or your workplace to do the same!

ADJUST THE THERMOSTAT & FURNITURE ENERGY LEAN

Save energy by adjusting your thermostat, warmer in winter and colder in summer. Also furnish in a way that radiators are not blocked by a sofa or bed, and the heat will be distributed better.

CHOOSE ECO-LABELLED OR CERTIFIED FOOD

When you choose eco-labeled or certified food, you contribute to more products and services which take nature and the environment into account. So from now on, always choose eco-labeled or certified.
